I do not guarantee a level of service.
I am not liable for any damages caused by failures of my services beyond the service fees charged up to one year before the incident constituting the damage. Any such incident must be reported within a year.
Emails
I will not send you advertisement or feature announcement mails unless you explicitly opted in to those.
In any case, you will receive
- transactional emails (eg. password reset),
- invoices and notifications for problems regarding payment and
- notifications of technical or legal changes that may impact you.
Quotas and temporary IP blocking
The service is provided through nodes, each of which can handle only a limited amount of requests per second.
It's your responsibility to make sure that those limits are not excessively exceeded, although warning messages are routed to the board in question if limits are approached.
The current limits can be found here, any changes will be towards the generous.
When limits are excessively exceeded, a temporary ban on the account's IP addresses may be added to my firewalls, potentially also impacting other boards or even accounts using the same addresses. The account holders will be informed by email if that happens. Such bans will be quickly lifted once the problem has been addressed.
Severability
Any provision in these Terms of Service that is invalid does not invalidate the others.
Changes
I will occasionally update the Terms of Service to adapt to changes in laws and regulations or changes in my service.
I will inform all paying users about any new Terms of Service 30 days before they come into effect by mail.
If you object to the new terms, you need to terminate your account before they come into effect.
